Hubert de Pesquidoux, Xura's Executive Chairman and Siris Executive Partner
Mr. Hubert de Pesquidoux is a former senior executive of Alcatel-Lucent SA, with a 21-year career until 2009. His last position was Chief Financial Officer of Alcatel-Lucent and President of its Enterprise Business Group. Mr. de Pesquidoux was also previously a member of the Alcatel Executive Committee and held various executive positions including President and Chief Executive Officer of Alcatel North America, Chief Executive Officer of Alcatel Canada (formerly Newbridge Networks) and Chief Financial Officer of Alcatel USA. Mr. de Pesquidoux has previously served as Chairman of the Board for Tekelec, and was on the board of Mavenir and Thales. Mr. de Pesquidoux is currently the Executive Chairman of PGI and is also a member of the Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Radisys Corporation, Criteo SA, and Sequans Communications as well as a member of the Board of Directors of TNS. Mr. de Pesquidoux is a member of the UPMC.
Walter Loh, Xura's Chief Financial Officer
As Xura's Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Walter Loh has over 20 years of corporate strategy, private equity and investment banking experience. Mr. Loh has been an Operating Executive of Siris Capital since 2007 and, before joining Xura, was deeply involved with implementing operational change at Siris' portfolio companies, including MModal, TNS and Pulse Secure. Prior to joining Siris, Mr. Loh was a consultant to several leading investment firms and a Vice President at Palladium Equity Partners from 1997 to 2004. Mr. Loh started his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Goldman Sachs in 1994. Mr. Loh has a BS in Economics from the Wharton School and a BAS from the School of Engineering and Applied Science of the University of Pennsylvania.
Merle Gilmore, Siris Executive Partner
Mr. Merle Gilmore is a former senior executive of Motorola, Inc., having spent 30 years there before his retirement in 2000. He has held numerous senior management positions at Motorola, including Executive Vice President and President of the Land Mobile Products Sector, Executive Vice President and President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and Executive Vice President and President of the Communications Enterprise. Mr. Gilmore served as an Industrial Partner of Ripplewood during the Principals' tenure there. He was previously a member of the Board of Directors of Proxim Corp., Japan Telecom, Inc., MedQuist (now MModal), and Mediabolic, Inc., as well as Chairman of the Board and a representative officer of D&M Holdings Inc. and Executive Chairman of Tekelec and Airvana. Mr. Gilmore currently serves on the Board of Directors of Stratus Technologies, PulseSecure and Revenew Systems, LLC.
Kai Oistamo, Siris Executive Partner
Mr. Kai Oistamo had a 24 year career at Nokia, having spent the last 10 years as part of the Nokia Leadership Team. He was most recently Chief Development Officer for Nokia, reporting directly to the CEO. Kai joined Nokia in 1991 and held several managerial and technical positions at the former Nokia Consumer Electronics unit. In 1995, he was named Product Manager of Nokia Mobile Phones. Two years later, he was promoted to Vice President of the TDMA Business Line. He was named Senior Vice President of Nokia Mobile Phones in 2002, before being appointed Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Phones. He was later appointed to head Nokia's Devices unit, a position he held until assuming the role of Chief Development Officer. Kai holds a doctorate degree in technology and a master's degree in engineering from Tampere University of Technology in Finland. He is Chairman of the Board of Tekes and also serves on the board of Sanoma Corporation.
Rod Randall, Siris Executive Partner
Mr. Roderick Randall spent over 25 years in the technology and computer networking industry as an entrepreneur, senior executive and venture capitalist. He was a Founding Partner at Vesbridge Partners and a General Partner at St. Paul Venture Capital, where he led the mobile investment practice. Previously, Mr. Randall was Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Lucent Technologies, and was Vice President of Marketing at Ascend. Prior to that, Mr. Randall was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Stratus Computer and General Manager of its SS7 business, and Vice President of Strategic Market Development at Madge Networks, following its 1996 acquisition of Teleos Communications. Mr. Randall co-founded Teleos in 1987, and served many roles including as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and Vice President of WAN Access Technology. He began his career at AT&T Bell Labs and holds several U.S. patents. Mr. Randall was previously a member of the Board of Directors of Tekelec, Airvana, TNS, Bytemobile, Bitfone, Snowshore, Teltier Technologies, ProQuent, FusionOne, Dynamicsoft and VisageMobile. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Stratus Technologies and PGi and a member of the Board of Overseers of PBS TV producer and broadcaster WGBH.
Ted Schell, Siris Executive Partner
Mr. Ted Schell has worked in the telecom industry for over 20 years having last served as Sprint Corporation's Senior Vice President for Strategy and Corporate Development and as a member of its Management Committee from 1989-2000. Mr. Schell played a leading role in the founding of Sprint PCS, (a Sprint, TCI, Cox and Comcast partnership) for which he also provided strategic oversight on behalf of Sprint. Prior to joining Sprint, Mr. Schell was the Founder, President and CEO of Realcom Communications Corporation, which was established in 1983 and acquired by IBM in 1987. Mr. Schell also founded and serves as Chairman of Enforta, Russia's largest and fastest growing wireless broadband access company since 2003. Mr. Schell is a member of the Board of Directors of TNS, PGi, and Enforta and previously was a member of the Boards of Directors of Tekelec, Airvana, Clearwire, Time Warner Telecom, RCN, Comverse Technology and Flag. Prior to joining Siris, Mr. Schell was a General Partner at Apax for several years as well as a Managing Director at Associated Partners, LP.
Ronald de Lange, Siris Executive Partner
Ronald de Lange is a 36+ year telecommunications and networking veteran. As well as being part of the Xura Borad of Directors, de Lange currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Radisys Corp, a high performance software and integrated systems company focused on key markets in the telecommunications industry.From 2011 through 2013, Mr. de Lange was President and CEO of Tekelec, a leading global networking software company focused on enabling people and devices globally to talk, text, and access the internet, where he was instrumental in executing on the company's strategic growth plans and enabling next-generation service provider initiatives. Prior to becoming President and CEO of Tekelec, he served as Executive Vice President of Tekelec'sGlobal Product Solutions group and held a variety of key management positions at Lucent Technologies. Since 2014, Mr. de Lange has been a professional investor engaged in investing in early stage technology companies and managing other business interests. Mr. de Lange holds an MS in computer science from DePaul University and a BS in electronics engineering technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.
