President & Chief Executive Officer
Pardeep Kohli joined Xura as its President and Chief Executive Officer in December 2016. As a wireless industry veteran and serial entrepreneur, Pardeep has over 20 years of experience, primarily focused on bringing innovation to the telecom infrastructure space. Pardeep was most recently CEO and co-founder of Ranzure Networks, an early-stage developer of 5G Cloud RAN technology.
Prior to this he was president of Mitel Mobility, joining in April, 2015 when Mitel acquired Mavenir Systems, Inc. Pardeep had been president and CEO of Mavenir systems since 2006, and grew it from zero to over $175 million in annual revenue. He also led multiple industry-first innovations, including the first at-scale deployments of virtualization and software defined networking to mobile core networks.
Prior to Mavenir, Pardeep was co-founder, president and CEO of Spatial Wireless acquired by Alcatel in 2004. Spatial Wireless was leading vendor of wireless Softswitch and brought significant innovation to the circuit switched mobile core.
Chief Financial Officer
As Xura's Chief Financial Officer, Walter Loh is responsible for all financial, commercial and ICT operations and processes within the company. Walter has over 20 years of corporate strategy, private equity and investment banking experience, and has been an Operating Executive of Siris Capital since 2007.
Before joining Xura, Walter was deeply involved with implementing operational change at Siris' portfolio companies, including MModal, TNS and Pulse Secure. Prior to joining Siris, Walter was a consultant to several leading investment firms and a Vice President at Palladium Equity Partners from 1997 to 2004. Walter started his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Goldman Sachs in 1994, and has a BS in Economics from the Wharton School and a BAS from the School of Engineering and Applied Science of the University of Pennsylvania.
EVP, Chief Talent and Administrative Officer
Kathleen is Executive Vice President, Chief Talent and Administrative Officer at Xura, having led the global Human Resource department at Comverse from September 2012.
Kathleen brings more than 25 years of Human Resources leadership experience, much of it from telecoms and technology sectors. Prior to 2012, she worked at Sonus, a leading provider of wireless and wireline voice over IP and multimedia solutions, where she led the global HR function as Vice President, Human Resources.
From 2000 to 2007, Kathleen served in a variety of HR management positions at Lightbridge, Inc, a leading provider of technology, services and software managing customer transactions. Before that, she held key HR management positions at Trend-Lines, Inc., Lily Transportation Corp., and Mark-Burton, Inc.
Nicolas is responsible for Xura's Monetization Business Unit, which largely leverages messaging infrastructure, to offer quickly deployable value added mobile monetization solutions and applications to mobile network operators. Taking ownership of the untapped "low credit" markets, the company has built industry-leading solutions designed to take advantage of global mobile subscribers who are on pre-paid contracts and can run out of credit. To date, these solutions have been launched successfully in several geographies around the world, and continues to thrive in emerging markets, as the company incorporates cross-carrier and border connection solutions as part of this portfolio.
In addition, Nicolas is also responsible for managing Xura's Application-2-Person (A2P) business aimed at enterprises globally.
With 15+ years’ experience in the digital technology and telecoms area, Nicolas has been involved in several start-up businesses prior to joining Acision. Nicolas has a business degree from the European Business School of Paris, and graduated in business law from the University of “La Sorbonne”.
Head of Corporate Marketing
As the Head of Corporate Marketing, Maria is responsible for defining, creating and executing Xura's strategic, global and regional marketing programs, designed to position Xura in the market and communicate key messages to both internal and external audiences, build brand awareness and drive lead generation Maria works closely with the Business Units and Product Managers to continue to improve demand for products by building go to market campaigns and creating content which engage and nurture customers and prospects, in order to maintain and extend Xura's market leadership.
Having worked for Xura (formerly Acision) for over 7 years, Maria leads the corporate marketing team globally, and plays an instrumental role in shaping Xura's market strategy and product propositions' positioning, based on market analysis and insight. During her tenure at Xura, Maria was named one of the 30 Top Women in Mobile in 2015.
Prior to Acision, Maria held senior roles at leading PR agency Hotwire, named best global technology agency, where most recently she was Head of the Telecoms division. Maria is also a law graduate from Coventry University.
EVP, General Counsel
As Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Roy will manage and oversee our legal team providing counsel across all departments. He will also be responsible for corporate governance, business policy, compliance, and intellectual property matters.
From January 2010 to October 2012, Roy served as Associate General Counsel, Corporate and Securities and Assistant Secretary of CTI. From October 2000 through January 2010, Roy was an associate with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and from March 1996 to September 2000 was an associate with the Israeli law firm of Meitar Liquornik Geva & Leshem Brandwein (formerly Meitar, Liquornik, Geva & Co.). Roy holds a law degree from Tel Aviv University.
SVP and Managing Director Europe, Middle East, Africa & Russia
As Managing Director, EMEA, Glen Murray is responsible for leading the regional team to strengthen the company's local presence and driving relationships with customers. Glen joined Xura from HMCA Partners, a consultancy he founded to support the establishment of emerging technology companies in the Europe, Middle East and Asia. Prior to this, Glen was Mavenir's Regional VP for EMEA, where he worked to re-focus the sales organization after the acquisition of Airwide. During his tenure at Mavenir, Glen signed major contracts with several large operator groups in Europe.
Glen previously held senior global sales roles at Neustar NGM, Anam, Openwave and Netscape.
SVP and Managing Director Asia Pacific and South West Asia
As the Managing Director and SVP for Xura's Asia Pacific and South West Asia operations, David plays a pivotal role building Xura's presence in the region, driving new business opportunities and growth opportunities.
Prior to his appointment as head of the region, David was the VP of Technology at Xura, where he focused on solution architecture and led pre sales support for Asia Pacific.
David also brings a wealth of experience, with leadership roles at Accenture, and Unisys as the Communications.
SVP and Managing Director Americas
Charles Marsh is Managing Director for Xura's Americas operations, including its North and Latin American businesses. With almost 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he is driving new commercial growth opportunities for Xura, and building relationships with local operators.
Charles joins Xura from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he led the Enterprise sales group for the Americas. Prior to HPE, Charles spent 28 years at Alcatel-Lucent (ALU), most recently as President of Americas Sales, managing the order and sales processes across all its accounts in the United States, Canada and Latin America. While at ALU, Charles also held the positions of Vice President, North American Sales, and Vice President of Sprint and tier 2/3 telcos.
SVP and Managing Director Latin America
Pompilio is responsible for leading the Latin American sales, business development and operations teams, to drive Xura’s market share and growth. Having held senior sales and management roles within telecoms for the past 20 years, Pompilio has built strong relationships with local carriers and enterprises which he will leverage in order to build the company’s profile and position in the region.
Prior to Xura, he worked as General Manager for the Myriad Group in LATAM, where he managed to grow the business significantly with the expansion of USSD services, alongside the migration of white label messaging services to an OTT instant messaging service, reaching over 10 million followers, which was combined with the launch of mobile social network services like Twitter and Facebook over SMS.
Before Myriad, he worked at One Brasil (Band TV co.), Modu (handset manufacture) and Celltick (cell broadcast co.). His first job was at IBM working there for 6 years. Pompilio holds a Eletronic Engineer degree from Unicamp University in Brazil.
